MEET THE CLEANERS
Here at Affordable Cleaning we like nothing more than to give praise to our hard working and dedicated staff.
Where we would like nothing more than to praise all our 180+ cleaners, we understand it is not possible here on this page. However, we would like to thank each and everyone of our cleaners, past and present for all the attention to detail and loyality they continue to show over the years.
Below is just a small selection of our cleaning staff, profiling their backgrounds, how they came to work for us, also a little bit about how they have thrived since joining our cleaning family
Helen has been with Affordable Cleaning and Services for 11 years and is our
Head of Cleaning and very valued member of the team. Helen's background before
starting work with us was as a Mental Health Nurse. Her dedication, attention to detail,
as well as her passion for the job comes over in all that does, which is testament to her previous Nursing training.
Since working for Affordable Cleaning and Services Helen has worked her way to the very top of her profession by hard work, excellent time keeping and a genuine willingness to see a job through to the very end while, maintaining her exceptional high standards.
Helen is now our Head of cleaning, Regular and Irregular Spot checker employed to check all The Affordable Cleaning Brand Standards
Helen also enjoys running the induction, COSHH and Health and Safety Level 1 and 2 training courses for our new recruits. This also keeps our staff fully up to date on the latest techniques and best cleaning practice so we are always at the forefront of our industry, thus ensuring our customers are always getting the most productive and effective service from us.
Maureen joined The Affordable cleaning Family with excellent pedigree having
worked as a top level cleaner straight out of school, Maureen progressed to become
known as one of the finest Spot checkers in Birmingham. Since joining us 8 years
ago she has never looked back. Maureen has given 27 years excellent service to this industry, In Maureen's own words 'I absolutely love cleaning, I have done it all my working life and really love seeing a place look brand new again once I have finished'. It's this genuine love for the job that sets Maureen apart from other cleaners.
Maureen is not only a major asset to Affordable Cleaning and Services but to the cleaning industry as a whole. With the current financial situation we all find ourselves in there are more and more start up cleaning companies emerging trying to 'give it a go' when Affordable Cleaning are called in to professionally complete a job these companies have started, the cleaner we will always guarantee to make customer smile again, with her very quick wit and superb attention to detail is Maureen and her team
Beverley joined The Affordable Cleaning Family with 27 years of commercial
cleaning experience. Beverley was simply known as the 'Perfectionist' due to
passing all her irregular spot checks with flying colours, this is a nickname that has
now followed Beverley to our family of cleaners and she has not disappointed in the
7 years we have had her
Beverley is a growing star in our organisation and is looking to progress still further into Area Management. Affordable Cleaning and Services rely on the unquestionable dedication shown by all our staff but none more so than Beverley - with her willingness to help, teach and train new staff as well as a unquestionable commitment and dedication to keep to a level of cleaning excellence. We are very proud to be able to call upon the services of such a great cleaner.
Sally's previous profession was as a Cleaning Inspector for a large blue chip
company. Sally puts all of her 8 years’ experience as a top inspector to the test
everyday - constantly finding ways to improve her and her team.
In her spare time sally likes to keep busy in the garden, read and walk her 2 golden Retrievers.
Karen has only been with us since December 2009 but has already shown all her 11
years+ cleaning experience in that time. It is testament to her attention to detail and
managerial skills as to the primary reason for promotion.
Karen is a very accomplished cleaner and Supervisor, she is very much a peoples person with a great sense of humour. Karen is currently looking after some of our biggest clients in the Centre of Bristol and Yate.
Karen has over 10 cleaners experience under her very capable command while always showing her outstanding 'can do' attitude, the same qualities which saw Karen promoted in such a short period of time.
We are very happy and proud to announce Karen’s promotion to Area Manager and wish her every success in her new role. We know Karen will go onto even bigger and better things within our organisation in future.

Sandra, or Sandy as she'd prefer to be known, is a complete credit to the Bristol team.
Sandy has 10 years cleaning experience in such areas as Care Homes, Boarding
Schools and as a Support Worker. Sandy's previous expert training show's every day in the level of cleanliness she demands of herself and her team - Sandy has already began to show her other valuable skills in teaching and training the new cleaners. Sandy's top class cleaning skills and positive, happy attitude are a welcome need in any office. We feel very fortunate to call Sandy one of our Employee's.
Tanya Whelan
Senior Cleaner (Bath)
Tanya is one of our Senior Cleaners in Bath, and is a very valued one at that. Tanya is a very hard-working, productive lady, and always has her Client's offices looking spotless. Tanya has 22 years experience, and had previously cleaned hospitals for 10 of those years. Tanya has a very obvious passion for her work, and enjoys working as a senior member of her team. Tanya sets a brilliant example for all her fellow cleaners
Holly Jupp
Cleaner (Birmingham)
Holly is an excellent cleaner, and has shown outstanding enthusiam and progression the past 2 years she has worked for us. Holly always gets the job done quickly, and with a smile. Holly also won our Cleaner of the month award in July. Holly is now looking to start training other cleaners and progress to Senior Cleaner in her team. We wish her all the luck in her future success.
Michelle James
Cleaner (Bristol)
Michelle has been with us for only 6 months, but in this time has shown very high standards of cleaning, and a brilliant attitude towards her work. Michelle is a very reliable, hard working cleaner. In her work, Michelle cleans very luxorious serviced apartments for clients of ours. Her many years experience in this industry certainly shines through, and we certainly look forward to working with her for many years to come.
Lesleigh Gritt
Cleaner (Cardiff)
Lesleigh, who previously has cleaned for a commendable 30 years continues to show outstanding performance in her work. A highly valued cleaner of ours, Lesleigh always makes sure the job is perfectly, first time. Lesleigh has shown such high standards in her cleaning, she is already starting to train some of the newer members on her team. This is brilliant progress, and we are sure it will continue.
